Towards the end of my artistic training, I discovered my fascination with Michelangelo's sculpture David. I was determined to bring it to life on canvas—not as a classic copy, but in a contemporary visual language: powerful, explosive, and full of energy. After numerous experiments and a search for the right form of expression, the David series was born. It also includes other figures from antiquity and mythology.

The David series explores the archetype of the hero and the power to overcome challenges. Inspired by my own life story—marked by courage, self-confidence, and faith in my Creator—I create monumental male figures as symbols of inner strength, resilience, and hope.

The series takes as its starting point the biblical story of David and Goliath and Michelangelo's famous depiction of David. For me, David embodies the realization that true strength does not depend on physical size or power, but on courage, wise decisions, and confidence in one's own abilities.

I reinterpret classic sculptures in marble and bronze, combining them with vibrant neon colors, striking black outlines, and cosmic backgrounds. In this way, timeless masterpieces of art history merge with a modern visual language, acquiring a powerful, almost living presence. The universe symbolizes infinity and our connection to creation.

The series is complemented, for example, by my reinterpretation of Alexandre Cabanel's "The Fallen Angel." As a counterpoint to the hero, this work explores the tension between strength and vulnerability, humility and pride, and makes the contradictions of human nature visible.

With the "David Collection," I want to inspire people to face their own challenges with courage, confidence, and inner strength.
