The David Series emerged toward the end of my artistic training, during a time of searching for a visual language to express my fascination with strength, courage, and the archetype of the hero.

Michelangelo's David became the starting point of this journey. Rather than simply reproducing the sculpture, I wanted to draw out its energy and carry it into our present day—reinterpreting the figure in a modern, contemporary way, inspired by classical art, mythology, and historical narratives. I let marble and bronze forms merge and blend with vivid neon colours, bold black contours, and cosmic backgrounds, breathing life into the figures.

For me, David embodies the realization that true strength is not measured by physical size or power. His story speaks of courage, strategic thinking, inner resilience, and the unshakable belief that even the most overwhelming challenges can be overcome.

The cosmic backgrounds place these historical and mythological figures within an infinite space—a symbol of timelessness and our deep connection to creation itself. The intense neon colours, meanwhile, pull them into the present, lending them a pulsating, almost living presence.

The series also turns its gaze toward the more complex sides of human strength. In my reinterpretation of Alexandre Cabanel's The Fallen Angel, for instance, strength enters a quiet dialogue with vulnerability, pride, and the consequences of lost humility.
