This piece belongs to my new "David" series, exploring strength, courage, and an unwavering belief in oneself. Early on, I felt determined to paint a powerful figure—and found him in Perseus, one of the most famous heroes of Greek mythology, renowned for beheading the serpent-haired Medusa.

For this piece, I chose cosmic, universe-inspired tones—my way of bringing the figure into our own time, timeless like the universe itself.
To me, Perseus embodies the same qualities I admire in David: the courage to face something monstrous, and the cunning to overcome it not through brute force alone, but through wit. On his return, he rescued Princess Andromeda from a sea monster and took her as his wife—a hero's tale of danger, love, and triumph.

The gods equipped him with winged sandals to fly, a cap of invisibility to move unseen, and a sickle to strike where it mattered most. Like David, Perseus reminds us that true strength lies not in size, but in courage paired with intelligence.
